Infant Teachers are responsible for creating the sweetest start for our littlest learners, monitoring their progress in a safe and supportive environment which caters to each of their individual needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing a developmentally appropriate Infant program, as well as programming and the overall quality of education and care in their area.
Infant Teachers have limited administrative duties as requested by the Director. Duties include planning and supervising a group of children, parent communication and maintenance of the classroom.
Responsibilities:
➡ Create a constructive, safe, and enjoyable environment for infants.
➡ Develop and present age-appropriate materials, lessons, and activities within the curriculum.
➡ Prepare weekly plans and actively engage with daily activities.
➡ Maintain professionalism with attitude and speech when interacting with children, colleagues and parents.
➡ Maintain confidentiality and avoid gossiping.
➡ Provide feedback to parents on their child’s growth during parent-teacher conferences.
➡ Ensure continuous supervision, including knowing ratios and number of children, of all children in the Infant room at all times.
➡ Understand and follow infants’ allergy care and treatment plans to prevent accidental exposure and provide prompt treatment.
➡ Uphold professional conduct and ensure room cleanliness.
➡ Ensure the Infant room is tour-ready throughout the day and ready for the following day.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
✅ Lift up to 50 pounds.
✅ Perform physical tasks, including bending, standing, squatting, or sitting on the floor throughout an 8-hour day.
✅ Be prepared to respond to emergencies with urgency and effectiveness.
✅ Understand the risks and follow safety protocols for bodily fluids exposure.
Standards and Qualifications:
➡ Minimum age of 18.
➡ Preferably, possess an Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood, or a degree in a related field with 18 ECE credits (including at least 3 credits in child or human growth and development).
➡ Have experience in Early Childhood Development/Education with the target age group.
➡ Exhibit excellent communication skills.
➡ Successfully complete background screening requirements.
➡ Hold valid Infant and Child CPR and First Aid certifications.
➡ Attend 18 or more hours of annual Professional Development workshops, required staff meetings and other after-work meetings/events.
➡ Maintain a current ECE credential.
➡ Demonstrate patience, respect, and enthusiasm while working with children, staff, and the community.
Toddler Teachers are responsible for setting the stage for relaxation and learning through play. Through our Creative and STEAM-inspired curriculum, children are encouraged to develop their learning while exploring their individual interests.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing a developmentally appropriate Toddler program, as well as programming and the overall quality of education and care in their area.
Toddler Teachers have limited administrative duties as requested by the Director. Duties include planning and supervising a group of children, parent communication and maintenance of the classroom.
